Burkert announces Air-LINE Quick valve connections
Air-LINE Quick has a stainless steel adapter plate and stainless steel push-in connectors for hygienic applications.

May 22, 2012 - Air-LINE Quick Type 8640 and Type 8644 have a stainless steel adapter plate and stainless steel push-in connectors for hygienic applications. Installation and commissioning are reduced to a minimum. Determine the installation location of the valve terminal or valve block: on the wall or floor of the control cabinet. AirLINE Quick supports both options. AirLINE Quick significantly reduces the number of components in the control cabinet.

Fewer pneumatic hoses and cables are needed and a user can integrate AirLINE Quick directly in the floor or wall of the control cabinet, eliminating the need for bulkhead connections on the cabinet. A unique feature of the Type 8640 and the Type 8644 automation system is the combination of the pneumatic connections, field bus interface and I/O modules directly on the floor or wall of the control cabinet, which means that the control cabinet can be generally smaller than in the past.

AirLINE Quick, combined with the important integrated process safety features such as check-valves which are integrated in the exhaust air channels and the pneumatic hot-swap function (P-channel shut-off) which makes it possible to replace a valve while the system is in operation, now offers the optimal solution for pneumatic piloting devices in process technology for hygienic applications. In addition to AirLINE Quick in a stainless steel version for hygienic applications, the concept is also available for general purpose applications with an anodized aluminum adapter plate and nickel-plated brass pneumatic connections
