June 13, 2010 - Calex announces the HE Series 75 Watt triple output DC/DC converters. The HE triple output series offers a primary output of either 3.3VDC or 5VDC and auxiliary outputs of either ±12VDC or ±15VDC. The 5V output is rated at up to 15 Amps and the 3.3V output is rated at up to 20 Amps.

The auxiliary outputs are rated at ±2 Amps. All models provide up to 75 Watts of output power giving the designer a great deal of flexibility when loading the three outputs. The HE Triple is isolated input to output providing a cost effective, compact solution for powering logic and analog circuitry. The HE series is housed in an industry standard 1/2 brick case. All models are fully encapsulated for rugged durability in harsh industrial and military COTS applications.

The operating temperature range for the HE triple is -40 to +100C. Calex offers a variety of heatsinks for extended temperature operation. The MTBF is over 1M hours. UL approvals are pending. The HE triple can be ordered with an optional mounting kit that provides screw terminal connections.

All models are backed by Calex's Five Year Warranty. The HE triple provides output voltage trim and logic ON/OFF. In the OFF state the idle current is only 2 mADC. Positive and negative logic is available. Protection features include volt-seconds clamp and over voltage protection, thermal shutdown, pulse by pulse current limiting and short circuit frequency foldback.

All models feature a 2:1 input range, either 18 to 36 or 36 to 75VDC. All models provide input reverse polarity protection. Output line and load regulation is typically 0.01% and 0.05% respectively.

Output voltage setpoint accuracy is ±1%.
