Calex announces Model 8505 analog to frequency converter
Model 8505 converts a 4-20 mA sensor output into a PLC frequency input. Price: from $83.30

September 2, 2010 - Calex announces the Model 8505 analog to frequency converter for a single or multiple channel PLC I/O systems. Ideally suited to convert a 4-20 mA sensor output into a PLC frequency input. The 8505 is designed to operate into the common 24 volt, 7 mA PLC discrete counter input. It provides 1 kHz to 5 kHz output frequency for a 4 μA per Hertz resolution.

The output is linear to 0.01% with a very high accuracy of better than 0.1%. The output is an isolated floating optocoupler which provides DC isolation from the input and DC power. The 8505 is housed in a plastic case with a built in DIN Rail mounting foot.

The case dimensions are 3.78”L x 1.06”W x 1.65” H. All connections are made to easily accessible screw terminals.

The 8505 Series is backed by Calex’s five year warranty and is UL 508 and UL 1604 compliant. Pricing for the 8505 is $83.30/ea (100). Units are available from stock to 6 weeks.
