Martinsburg, PA – Trend Export is the latest software component from Canary Labs allowing users to easily export and create csv and xml files from OPC-HDA Historians. Typically there are two types of applications that consume historical data. Reporting type applications such as Microsoft Excel or Crystal Reports or the data can be imported into database type applications like Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems. Trend Export is very intuitive and easy to use. The user can benefit from this product in a matter of minutes with no programming or training needed.
About Trend Export:
The Trend Export Server performs the exporting operation retrieving data from the OPC-HDA server. The Trend Export Configuration program allows the user to create and modify export configurations that are stored in files. This configuration file provides directions to the Export Server on which tags to export and how to format the output data. The user can browse and select the tags and define the time range of the data to export.
It has the capability to export raw data, time averaged data, supported aggregate data from the OPC-HDA server, along with filtering of annotations, numeric data or text data.There are three programs that can start a Trend Export operation, Trend Export Monitor, Trend Export Command, and Trend Link. Trend Export Monitor allows the user to choose the output destination, start and monitor the progress of an export. When completed, it can launch an application to continue processing the exported data. Trend Export Command provides command-line capability for controlling the export through scripting and scheduled reports.
This is normally used within the scripting of HMI applications. Trend Export can also be launched from Trend Link when viewing trend charts. The tags and data viewed on the trend chart will be exported.Trend Export can be used with the Windows 2000 or Windows XP operating systems or higher.
