Canfield Connector Introduces Ultra-small Proximity Sensors

(September, 2005), Youngstown, OH - The 9D and 9E Series sensors from Canfield Connector are universal, ultra-small magnetic proximity switches designed to fit the most stringent space requirements. Both are available in solid state electronic and reed styles and require no special mounting using a standard .250 inch dovetail slot. The electronic versions offer great sensitivity to magnetism with reduced dead-band and hysteresis, while the reed versions provide a wide operating voltage range. Both 9D and 9E have standard on-board indicator lights viewable from wide angles and are compatible with Intrinsically Safe barriers.

The molded construction is designed to meet NEMA6/IP67 specifications and is corrosion and wash-down resistant. The 9D and 9E sensors come with a standard 9 ft cable or an optional 6 inch cable with an industry standard 8mm circular connector. The rugged 20% glass polypropylene switches are shipped with mounting hardware ready for installation. All Canfield Connector products are manufactured in the USA to the highest quality standards.
