Carlo Gavazzi announces 480 watt switching power supply
SPD Series 480W model offers 24Vdc (20 A) and 48Vdc (10 A) outputs; short circuit, overvoltage, and overload protection; “Power OK” and “Low Output Voltage” LEDs; and a relay output for “power ready.” Power Factor Correction and Parallel Connection functions are also standard features.

January 5, 2007 - Buffalo Grove, IL - Carlo Gavazzi has expanded the SPD Series Switching Power Supplies with the addition of the 480W model. This new, higher output model was developed to meet the increasing power demand of the automatic machinery market. The 480W model offers 24VDC (20 Amp) and 48VDC (10 Amp) outputs, short circuit, overvoltage, and overload protection, “Power OK” and “Low Output Voltage” LEDs, and a relay output for “power ready.” Power Factor Correction and Parallel Connection functions are also standard features. The SPD power supplies feature high efficiencies, universal 90-265 VAC or 120-370 VDC supply voltages, and diagnostic LEDs for alerting the user of when the output voltage is ready for use and in the event the output voltage is too low.

All models also offer internal noise filtering, and a potentiometer for fine tuning the DC output voltage. The 480 Watt model features a rugged metal housing, screw terminals or detachable connector with screw terminal connections, and an extended temperature range of –25 to +71o C. For parallel operation, a built-in decoupling diode is included which saves you the cost and space of using a separate decoupling module. SPD power supplies are UL, cUL, TUV, and CE approved, and have a 2 year warranty.List prices range from $270 to $275.
