February 22, 2018 - The CC-Link Partner Association (CLPA) announced that Mitsubishi Electronic Automation, has embedded CC-Link IE Field Safety features into their MR-J4-GF Servo Amplifiers. CC-Link IE Field Safety meets both IEC and ISO safety standards.
The 1-Gbit per second (Gbps) data transfer rate provides the necessary speed and capacity required for Industry 4.0 requirements. This additional bandwidth capacity over the current standards used for motion communication can allow for both necessary safety control, as well as for any future diagnostic communications and other non-real time transmissions.
With the CC-Link IE Field Safety integration and the additional option card MR-D30 attached, the MR-J4-GF now meets international safety standards for Category 4 PLe SIL3.
Beyond its integrated CC-Link IE Field Safety features, other features of the MR-J4-GF Servo Amplifiers include:
- One-Touch Tuning
- Advanced Vibration Suppression Control II, One-Touch Tuning, 4 million pulse encoders, and 2.5 kHz speed frequency response
- Failure prediction function – Detects age-related changes in machine performance based on the friction and vibrations monitored by a machine diagnosis function.
