The TECStation Xtreme NEMA-rated workstations allows companies to safely implement computers in hazardous manufacturing and production environments where flammable gases and vapors are present. The stainless steel enclosure meets NEMA 4/4X requirements and is suitable for Class I, Division I and II locations (as designated by the NEC).

October 17-19, Houston, Texas – CCS-Inc. will launch its new TECStation™ Xtreme workstation at this year’s ISA EXPO (Booth 1309). The TECStation Xtreme is part of CCS’ line of NEMA-rated workstations. This product allows companies to safely implement computers in hazardous manufacturing and production environments where flammable gases and vapors are present. The stainless steel enclosure meets NEMA 4/4X requirements and is suitable for Class I, Division I and II locations (as designated by the NEC).

TECStation Xtreme uses instrument quality compressed air or inert gas in its purge system to maintain a slightly higher internal pressure and prevent flammable gases from entering the enclosure. The pressure is regulated between 4 Bar (60 psi) and 8 Bar (115 psi) and can function at temperatures from -20°C (4°F) to 55°C (131°F).Other features include self-sealing doors with lift-off hinges, a monitor viewing window, and keyed compression latches. The enclosure accommodates desktop LCDs (up to 21”) and small form factor PCs – which CCS can integrate in-house either by building a custom embedded or whitebox PC or through its partnerships with HP, Dell, and other providers.TECStation Xtreme comes in several sizes and can be mounted on a pedestal or benchtop.

“TECStation Xtreme is a highly versatile workstation that works hard to protect you and your equipment,” comments Gary Overstreet, CCS Vice President of Sales & Marketing. “We are excited to add this solution to our offerings. It has already been deployed in a harsh petroleum drilling environment with great success.”It will be on display in Booth 1309 at ISA EXPO 2006, October 17-19.
