Cemtrex supplies emission monitoring system in Uruguay

The system will be installed at Jose Batlle y Ordonez Station in Montevideo, Uruguay and will measure and report emissions of SO2, CO, NO, NO2, O2 and particulate matter.

March 25, 2010 - Cemtrex announced a $1.3 million contract from the National Administration of Power Plants and Electric Transmissions of Uruguay (UTE) to design, supply, and install complete Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) for eight stacks with redundant systems for emissions reporting and compliance. The CEMS will be installed at Jose Batlle y Ordonez Station in Montevideo, Uruguay and will measure and report emissions of SO2, CO, NO, NO2, O2 and particulate matter.UTE chose Cemtrex's Integrated CEMS packages and laser opacity monitors for this plant because of unique advantages featuring functionality, ease of operation, durability and low-maintenance cost.

In addition to the CEMS, Cemtrex will also install an Ambient Air Monitoring Station at this plant for ambient parameters like SO 2, NO, NO 2, Wind Speed, Wind Direction, Air Pressure, Humidity and Air Temperature along with data loggers for continuous reporting and data acquisition. The total contract value of the CEMS and Air Monitoring Station amounts to $1.3 million."
