The ISA/IEC 62443 series of cybersecurity standards is increasingly being adopted as a global foundation for securing industrial automation and control systems. That means that whether you’re an asset owner or cybersecurity product supplier, now is the time to understand the benefits and methods of certifying your facility or product line to these standards. A webinar from ISA, the International Society of Automation, is the place to start.
Register for the free live webinar, being held Thursday, 28 May 2026 at 9:00 - 10:00 EDT U.S., to ask questions of the panel of presenters brought together by ISASecure and ISAGCA, co-sponsors of the event.
This webinar weaves together the perspectives of a certification body, a product supplier and an asset owner to explain how ISASecure, the IECEE Cybersecurity Program and private schemes differ materially in governance models, assessment approaches and practical implications.
Moderated by SZ Lin (林上智), president of the ISA Taiwan section, the discussion will cover governance and trust models, scope definition and assurance boundaries, interpretation of assessment results, certificate maintenance and evaluator competence. Panelists include:
- Kenny Lee is head of the Cybersecurity Laboratory for SGS Taiwan. With more than 20 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience, Lee holds globally recognized certifications including CISSP, ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Expert and CEH. He established Taiwan’s first IAS-accredited EN 18031 cybersecurity testing laboratory and expanded its scope to standards such as IEC 62443 and EN 303 645. He has also served as an approval signatory for ISASecure and IECEE.
- George Hsiao is product manager of Moxa’s Industrial Computer Department. He specializes in industrial hardware, IIoT and secure Linux software planning and successfully spearheaded the launch of the world’s first ISA/IEC 62443-4-2 certified industrial computer. He brings extensive, hands-on experience navigating the complexities of both ISASecure and IECEE scheme certification processes and has worked with customers including HP, Dell, Samsung, Lenovo, Toshiba, NEC, Fujitsu and HTC.
- Dennis Hackney, Ph.D., is vice chairman of ISAGCA and a principal OT cybersecurity professional for a super major oil and gas company. Dr. Hackney has nearly 30 years of experience defending critical infrastructure and over 15 years securing industrial control systems. He is the creator of the C.O.R.E., the Cost-effective, Operational, Reliable, Efficient cybersecurity methodology and the host of the CyberSecureOT podcast.
- Moderator SZ Lin is an industrial cybersecurity expert with over 15 years of experience spanning energy systems, oil & gas, semiconductor manufacturing and transportation. He actively contributes to the development of the ISA/IEC 62443 standards, engages with global initiatives such as ISAGCA and the ISASecure certification program and serves as a workgroup member of SEMI’s SMCC, where he focuses on compliance-driven implementation in the semiconductor sector.
Registrants for the free live webinar will receive a copy of SZ Lin’s whitepaper, “Comparing ISASecure and Proprietary ISA/IEC 62443 Certification Schemes.”
