January 8, 2020 - exida, has presented Cisco with the 2019 exida Cyber Award in the Network Device category for their Catalyst IE3x00 Rugged Series switch.
The Cisco Catalyst IE3x00 Rugged Series switches feature full Gigabit Ethernet speed for real-time data and a modular design. These switches bring flexibility and security to the network edge, and are optimized for size, power and performance.
“The Catalyst IE3x00 is one of the first network devices to be certified to IEC 62443-4-2 (Security for industrial automation and control systems part 4-2: Technical Security Requirements for IACS components).” Adds Mike Medoff, Senior Safety Engineer for exida. “In addition, Cisco has received a certification of the Cisco Security Development Lifecycle that is followed when developing and maintaining products. These certifications show that secure processes are in place throughout the development lifecycle and the security capabilities have been designed into the product.”
