January 16, 2014 - Clark Solutions announces 8E Series Electric Actuated Ball Valves, available in 9 models, each with a wide range of configurations and options, 8E Ball Valves can be easily adapted to the individual requirements of OEMs, as well as commercial and industrial users. The most outstanding feature of 8E Ball Valves are their small size compared to alternative electrically actuated ball valves. 8E Ball Valves achieve their small size as a result of an integrated component design resulting in overall package sizes that are a fraction of those of competitive models. Typical actuated ball valves are constructed by “marrying” standard electric actuators to standard 2 way and 3 way ball valves assemblies.
Additionally 8E Ball Valves feature a unique low torque valve stem/seat design that requires much less power than typical actuated ball valves, with some models configured to consume as little as 25mA. These features, combined with standard NEMA 4X enclosures, result in a line of electrically actuated ball valves that are smaller in size, require less power, and can be easily configured to the individual requirements of end users. All of the 8E Electric Actuated Ball Valve models are direct mount.
Actuator voltage alternatives include 12V DC/AC, 24V DC/AC, or 100-240 VAC, and a 5K potentiometer is available as an option. 8E Electrically Actuated Ball Valves standard features include two auxiliary limit switches, a built in torque limiter, a position indicator, manual override, on/off operation, and a temperature-activated heater.
