CONCOA introduces regulators for corrosive applications
Series 420/430 regulators and Series 515 automatic switchovers are impregnated with a deposition process that eliminates absorption and catalytic conversion.

June 4, 2012 - CONCOA introduces regulators and switchovers designed to reduce gas consumption and boost performance in a wide variety of industries using reactive and corrosive gases. Impregnated with proprietary SilcoNert 1020 technology, a deposition process that eliminates absorption and catalytic conversion, Series 420/430 regulators and Series 515 automatic switchovers reduce costs by improving cycle times and analytical results. The new series is ideal for use with low-level reactive mixtures including hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, nitric oxide, sulfur dioxide, and reduced sulfur.

Applications range from chromatography, beverage testing, natural gas and automotive emissions monitoring, environmental stack gas emission standards, and off-shore platform systems, to refineries, petrochemical plants, and coal and gas power plants requiring rapid and accurate analysis of low-level sulfur and mercury. Ensuring rapid response and accurate results, the SilcoNert 1020 process developed by SilcoTek impregnates 316 stainless steel of all wetted surfaces with an amorphous silicone layer bound into the metal crystal structure, rendering it 100 times more inert than 316 stainless steel alone.

Diaphragm seals are metal-to-metal, leak integrity is 1 x 10 -9 , delivery pressure ranges are 0-15 through 0-500 psig, and maximum inlet pressure is 3000 psig (210 bar) or 4500 psig (310 bar) optional. Series 420 single-stage and Series 430 dual-stage regulators are available with a wide selection of inlet/outlet options, all with the same SilcoNert 1020 internals, and the Series 515 automatic switchover is available with a wide variety of SilcoNert 1020 options.
