US Operation Expands to Meet Growing Customer Demand SAN JOSE, CA, March 22, 2007 — Connect One opened a new office in San Jose, CA and hired Ehud (Udi) Yuhjtman as President. Connect One manufactures semiconductors and device servers that facilitate easy, reliable and robust Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity for machine-to-machine (M2M) applications. The firm is positioning itself to secure a leading role in the US M2M market, which analysts predict will account for approximately 40% of the $63 billion worldwide M2M market by 2009. Connect One is a major contributor to the widespread adoption of IP-based communication in M2M applications.

It has become a major player in the M2M industry, with over 1,000,000 iChip™ IP controller chips deployed in more than 50 countries—many of them installed in point-of-sale (POS) terminals, medical devices, security systems, and fleet management terminals. Connect One’s field-proven embedded chips, modules and external device servers enable manufacturers of non-PC devices to easily, quickly and cost-effectively IP-enable new and existing designs. As president of Connect One Semiconductors, Inc., Udi is tasked with increasing Connect One’s share of the growing North American market for M2M connectivity and creating new markets for Connect One’s iChip technology.

With more than 20 years experience in the communications and chip market, Udi will focus on building Connect One’s sales and technical support teams, identifying market opportunities, and developing strong relationships with OEMs, M2M integrators, and strategic partners. Udi comes to Connect One from Jungo Software Technology, where he served as vice president of business development and founded the company's flagship residential gateway software business unit, which was sold to NDS Group plc in 2006. While at Jungo, Udi developed successful business relationships with industry leaders such as Intel, Freescale, Cisco, Broadcom, Linksys, Dell, Belkin, and Netgear.

Prior to joining Jungo in 2000, Udi spent 10 years at Chip Express, where in his last position as vice president of engineering he managed all prototyping activities, engineering services and customer support, and approved the design and production of over 1,000 ASICs. “Udi’s experience with the development and marketing of communication software and ASICs ensures that he understands customer needs and will be able to establish a foothold for Connect One in emerging growth markets,” stated Amir Friedman, founder and CEO of parent company Connect One Ltd. “Connect One has worked hard to establish itself as a technology leader in the M2M space. Udi is a strong complement to our leadership team.”

Connect One will be exhibiting at Booth 306 at the Embedded Systems Conference in San Jose, CA, between April 3-5.
