March 29, 2016 - Conta-Clip releases Webeasy I/O modules for building automation based on Modbus RTU. The Webeasy range of compact I/O modules provides a comprehensive solution for connecting sensors and actuators to central control systems. Analog, digital, or analog/digital Webeasy modules are equally suitable for installation in cabinets or decentralized in the field. At the local level, the modules can be swiftly connected via the integrated WE connectors. Without any need for additional wiring, automatic contact is ensured for the power feed and serial Modbus interface.
To ensure continued control of building functions in cases of maintenance or troubleshooting of a central control unit, the Webeasy modules are available with an intervention switch. Pressing the switch decouples the devices from the automated network and allows for manual output control. In addition, the modules are equipped with a built-in processor, which provides the option to implement an emergency program for malfunctions. LEDs indicate the device status and switching status of the outputs at a glance.
Network node addresses can be easily configured via screwdriver-operated rotary switches on the modules. A total of 64 Webeasy modules can be connected to a single bus with a maximum cable length of 500 meters. Providing I/O solutions for every application, the Webeasy series features analog/digital input modules, digital and analog/digital output modules as well as digital and analog/digital input/output modules. The series also includes Ethernet/Modbus gateways, I/O modules with Ethernet interfaces and various modules for controlling window blinds, fan coils and lighting (including DALI bus solutions). Webeasy modules for an easy connection of the power supply and bus cable round off the range.
