August 7, 2011 – The Cooper Bussmann four-channel array ESD overvoltage suppressor device provides fast response and reliable ESD protection for data signals in any application requiring input/output, antenna, audio/video ports or data lines. The low 0.1pF capacitance of this technology protects data without distorting signals.
This product meets the needs of today’s high-speed applications and the standard size footprint offers a cost-effective drop-in alternative to competing Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) arrays. The ESD device is rated for 12V operation and provides ESD circuit protection to 8kV (contact discharge), and 15kV (air discharge), and it is available in an extremely small 2.5 x1mm x 0.5mm thick package.
Additionally, the fast, under 1nsec response time, very low leakage current (under 10nA @12V) and low capacitance (0.1pF @1Mhz) combined with low clamping and trigger voltage, make these devices ideal for a wide range of sensitive electronic circuits that demand not only low distortion and low loss, but also fast and reliable voltage protection. The four-channel ESD array is supported by literature including a selection guide, application note, an ESD suppressor design kit and other documentation.
