April 30, 2012 – The Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) announced winners of three awards during the association’s 2012 Executive Conference in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Ed Diehl
, co-chief executive officer and vice president of engineering and operations at Concept Systems, Inc., Albany, Ore., was awarded the Charlie Bergman Award. The award recognizes an individual member for outstanding service to the organization through leadership, education, mentoring and advancement of CSIA’s goals. During Diehl’s term as chairman of the board, membership in the association and participation in the annual conference grew significantly.
Diehl also helped establish charters and solidify responsibilities of the association’s committees. Craig Eidson, general manager, Optimation Technology, Inc., Denver, and
Keith Harris
, operations manager, Lord & Company, Inc., Fort Mill, S.C., were named CSIA Rising Stars. The award recognizes young professionals who have demonstrated a commitment to the profession and exhibited leadership potential.
Eidson joined Optimation’s Houston office shortly after graduating from Texas A&M University. After demonstrating success as a project manager, team leader and trainer, he was recommended to open a new branch office in Denver, where he is implementing CSIA’s best practices in preparation for becoming CSIA Certified. Harris was the driving force behind Lord & Company obtaining CSIA certification. He implemented policies required to maintain CSIA’s high standards and created committees to review each aspect of the CSIA requirements. This encouraged employees to participate and experience firsthand what CSIA means to the company and the industry.
Software Toolbox, Matthews, N.C., received the Partner of the Year Award. The award recognizes a company that has significantly contributed to the betterment of CSIA and its members and promoted CSIA certification. John Weber and his team at Software Toolbox have donated their time and technical expertise to produce CSIA’s monthly webinars since May 2011.
