May 13, 2010 – CygNet Software will be relocating to larger facilities to accommodate continued demand for its SCADA and other enterprise business solutions. The company has doubled over the last three years and sees this move as critical for continued market expansion. The newly expanded headquarters is located at 1880 Santa Barbara Street in the historic Railroad Square area of San Luis Obispo. Nearly double the current space, the move will support expanded investment in research, development, and IT infrastructure, as well as an enhanced QA lab, and extra room to accommodate remote testing units and flow computers.

“Despite a tough economy, CygNet continues to attract new customers and expand the deployments of existing customers because we enable organizations to dramatically improve operational efficiency and market responsiveness,” said Chris Smith, president and CEO of CygNet Software. “CygNet’s mission is to deliver products which exceed customer expectations in terms of performance and reliability. Now the larger facilities will support expanded development, QA and support programs, while also giving us the infrastructure we need to continue delivering features and vertical solutions our customers need.” Founded in 1994, CygNet currently has more than 70 employees, including staff in its Houston, Texas; Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and Lafayette, Louisiana regional offices.

Despite last year’s 75 percent reduction in natural gas pricing, CygNet experienced double-digit growth and continues to be profitable, as it has been for the last five years.
