The SAC transforms rugged, field-proven, Kollmorgen S300 and S600 digital servo amplifiers into intelligent, fully programmable motion control drives. This gives the machine designer access to a broad range of motor designs and form factors. The SAC option card transforms a base servo drive package into a high performance motion control system. In addition, it provides simple machine control functionality, eliminating the need for simple PLCs.
It provides MC BASIC (true BASIC language with a motion command set), full math capability for expanded motion control functionality and multi-tasking language for enhanced machine control. With its broad set of control capabilities and support for CANopen, the SAC-equipped S300 or S600 can be a part of a distributed control system or perform the total control for a single axis machine.With one set of hardware, the combination of Kollmorgen S300/S600 servo drives and SAC option card satisfies the broadest range of motion systems needs in the industry. This packages supports linear, rotary or direct drive motors, with incremental or absolute positioning, for low or high inertia applications.
