July 8, 2008 - Zyvax, Inc., a global manufacturer of release coatings and mold release products, has licensed the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System to improve its operations through a combination of business process re-engineering and integration in a single software system. The DEACOM ERP System is designed to seamlessly integrate all areas of a coatings manufacturer, including formulation and Quality Control (QC), inventory control, sales order entry, purchasing, Certificate of Analysis (COA) and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) generation, production, and accounting/financials. Zyvax has over 45 years of experience in producing breakthrough mold preparation products with proven track records.
The company's release systems apply scientific expertise and manufacturing process knowledge to develop mold preparation and release products for a wide range of composite and urethane industry needs. In order to increase the efficiency of its five-location operation, Zyvax sought to consolidate its existing business system, which mainly relied on Excel and Word applications. Purchasing Manager Chris Thompson explains, "We simply outgrew our existing system and saw the need for an ERP system that offered an out-of-the-box solution that integrated all of our business processes in one spot." After narrowing its software search to two ERP systems, Zyvax was introduced to the DEACOM Software System.
The DEACOM System quickly gained preference because of its native integration and developmental focus on the coatings manufacturing industry. "Despite coming to the dance late, DEACOM was far superior to other systems we evaluated during our software search," says Thompson. "We were amazed by its capability to drill down from full reports to transactional postings and the ease with which we could generate COAs and MSDS forms, even from the lot level." Zyvax will complete implementation of the DEACOM ERP Software System in the fall of 2008.
