April 7, 2015 – Deutschmann Automation adds extra Ethernet interface to Unigate gateways so service and maintenance staff can use the extra interface to directly access the configuration of the connected gateways.
The interface also provides the devices with an additional regular bus port. UNIGATE EL models are available for a wide range of fieldbuses and Industrial Ethernet systems including Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, MPI, DeviceNet, CANopen, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, and PROFINET according to the V2.2 specification (GSDML V2.3 specification).
Deutschmann optionally offer the devices with eight integrated I/Os that can be freely configured as inputs or outputs by means of the company’s script which can be programmed with the free-of-charge Protocol Developer tool without special programming or fieldbus knowledge. The script converts the terminal device protocols and enables users to emulate even complex protocols and to buffer and process data. Based on the script, users can moreover integrate customer-specific commands, link functions to time or event-based triggers, and visualize all data and statuses in the bus.
