March 6, 2014 - Deutschmann Automation introduces UNIGATE EL gateways that connect standard Ethernet devices with all standard industrial protocols, thereby facilitating communication via Ethernet TCP/IP and UDP between the control/office and field levels. UNIGATE EL line covers a wide range of fieldbuses and Industrial Ethernet systems such as Modbus TCP, Profibus DP, MPI, DeviceNet, CANopen, POWERLINK, EtherCAT, PROFINET, and EtherNet/IP. Optionally, the devices are available with I/Os that can be set as inputs or outputs for any application by means of the Deutschmann script.
The script implements the terminal device protocols. It can also be used to emulate complex protocols, buffer data, and process it in any desired manner. Customer-specific commands can be integrated, operations can be linked with time and event-based triggers, and all data and bus statuses can be displayed. Deutschmann provides the Protocol Developer tool free of charge which enables users to generate the script without special programming skills or fieldbus knowledge.
