March 6, 2014 - DFI introduces a line of 7” Panel PCs based on the ARM and x86 architectures. The seven IP65-rated Panel PCs provide a variety of storage options such as eMMC onboard, an SD/MMC slot for extending extra storage and 3G modules. They also come with LAN, COM, USB ports for various demands and up to 12-bit GPIO for device control. With the flexible I/Os providing increased computing and graphics performance, the Panel PCs allow a system to process more data load and provide faster loading of frequently used applications. The Mini PCIe expansion slot also offers additional capabilities for the various demands.
Furthermore, the Panel PCs come with wide range DC-in power input to fit more industrial requirements. The Panel PCs use the 4-wire Resistive/Capacitive type 7” LCD touch screen panel that has 400 nits brightness and can support WVGA resolution of 800x480. The open frame Panel PCs allow easy integration into a customized enclosure. A user can also design the front bezel according to application requirements. In addition, users can benefit from the 2 mounting options: wall mount (VESA 75x75) and panel mount.
With IP65-certified front panel protection, the panel is protected from ingress of dust and water. This allows easy cleansing of the panel especially in industries that place hygiene a top priority. This feature makes the Panel PC ideal for applications such as the chemical industry, food and beverage industry, marine, and medical applications.
