April 23, 2026 — Dunkermotoren stands for precise motion — but safe stopping is just as crucial. With the revised E90R LN fail-safe brake, Dunkermotoren expands its brake portfolio with a solution that combines reduced noise, high precision and maximum safety, even in demanding applications.
The E90R LN operates according to the proven fail-safe principle: In the de-energized state, the brake is closed and holds loads securely. Only when an electrical voltage is applied is the magnetic field generated, the armature disc attracted and the braking effect released. This operating principle ensures maximum safety, especially in the event of a power failure or emergency stop.
As part of the current revision, the acoustic behavior of the E90R LN has been specifically optimized. A structurally adapted design of the drive pin reduces the play to the armature disc, thus minimizing vibration and oscillation noise during operation. The result is significantly quieter running, which has a positive impact on the perceived quality and ease of use of modern machines.
“Noise is increasingly perceived as a quality indicator in modern machines and systems — especially in sensitive areas such as medical technology,” explained Michael Burgert, product manager for Brakes at Dunkermotoren. “With the new E90R LN, we offer our customers a quiescent current brake that meets the highest safety requirements and integrates harmoniously into demanding applications.”
Thanks to its compact design, the E90R LN can be easily integrated into existing drive concepts. Typical areas of application include medical technology, automation and packaging machines, conveyor technology and all applications with high demands on smooth running, precision and ease of use.
With the noise-optimized quiescent current brake E90R LN, Dunkermotoren underscores its commitment to consistently combining emergency stop capability, technical precision and high user comfort.
