March 18, 2009 - Series RPV Reducing Pressure Valve is a compact, moderately priced steam, water or gas regulator intended to satisfy most fundamental requirements for pressure reduction. It is used where cost and/or space limitations are the primary concern, the Reducing Pressure Valve is a rugged and economical choice for use on steam irons, autoclaves, laundry mangles, single radiators, steam tables, vulcanizers, steam, water or gas applications.Available in sizes 1/2½ – 2½ in cast iron and 1/2½ to 1” in stainless steel, the Stainless Steel Reducing Pressure Valve is rated to 300 psig at 420°F and the Cast Iron Reducing Pressure Valve is rated at 200 psig at 400°F. The RPV reduces pressures from 3 to 140 psi.
Other notable features of the Reducing Pressure Valve include: spherical seating surface on floating stainless steel disc for tight shutoff, different spring ranges, and integral stainless steel strainer.
