April 15, 2004, Chicago, IL - Lockheed Martin presented today the “Corporate Star Supplier” award to E-T-A Circuit Breakers. This prestigious award recognizes E-T-A’s world-class commitment to quality, reliability and customer service. The “Star Supplier” award is considered to be the highest honor for Lockheed Martin suppliers.Out of over 1500 suppliers, E-T-A joins the elite few suppliers Lockheed Martin declares as the “Best of the Best” states Carol Linwood, Purchasing Manager Materials Management for Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. The “Star Supplier” award is determined by the following criteria; quality, performance feedback, on-time delivery, affordability, and management and ability to handle requests, feedback, and issues.
The above criteria are measured at all Lockheed Martin’s facilities nationwide. Lockheed Martin’s evaluation of E-T-A revealed that E-T-A provided 100% quality testing, zero rejections, and on-time delivery on 100% of shipments. According to Dennis Bachta, Procurement Quality Assurance Representative for Lockheed Martin, in his 25 years experience with Lockheed suppliers, “E-T-A is one of the few suppliers to achieve such high ratings in these criteria.”E-T-A supplies high performance circuit breakers to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company for critical projects such as the FA-22 Raptor, F-16 Falcon, the C-130, and the newest project, the Joint Strike Fighter.
E-T-A’s partnership with Lockheed began 10 years ago on the F-22 Raptor Program when E-T-A was the only circuit breaker manufacturer to meet Lockheed Martin’s demanding specifications. To date, no other circuit breaker supplier’s performance and quality will suffice for the stringent requirements of Lockheed Martin’s Joint Strike Fighter and F-22.Tony Bright, President of E-T-A’s North American Operations, in accepting the award commented “that this important recognition honors the people of E-T-A who are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of our customers, and that our commitment to quality and reliability are the cornerstones of our business philosophy.”Lockheed Martin believes that performance and quality is the number one priority when sourcing components such as circuit protection.
