eLynx replaced a SCADA system on 96 wells and three gas processing facilities in the Paradox Basin in Utah and Colorado.

January 11, 2011 - Patara, based out of Houston, TX, recently acquired 96 wells and three gas processing facilities in the Paradox Basin located in Utah and Colorado. Patara selected eLynx’s web based outsourced SCADA service to monitor and control. “The transition from the previous owner’s SCADA system to eLynx was smooth and seamless. eLynx was able to begin monitoring the new assets with no data outages, which was a huge benefit to Patara,” said Ed Seeman, Patara Vice President of Engineering.

“With eLynx taking care of our SCADA and pushing data to our production accounting system, we are able to totally focus on our production.” “The Rockies is a rapidly growing area for eLynx and the Patara agreement helps solidify our position in this area” said John Powers, eLynx Chief Operating Officer.

“This is another situation where eLynx can get in on the ground floor and help a producer with their automation and data needs on the heels of a significant acquisition.”Patara Oil & Gas LLC is a privately funded company headquartered in Houston, Texas with a division office in Denver, Colorado and engages in the acquisition, development and production of natural gas and crude oil properties.Since 2000, eLynx Technologies has provided real-time data collection, production reporting, trending, well monitoring and control via the Internet for the oil and gas industry.
