November 22, 2016 – EPLAN has launched a new version of its EPLAN Education software, based on the latest release of its EPLAN Platform 2.6 suite of engineering software products. EPLAN Education Campus now provides a network license for up to 300 users and three instructors, a 12-fold increase in user access over previous versions. Developed for schools and colleges, this training concept includes software solutions for electrical, fluid power, instrumentation, control and automation (ICA), and control cabinet engineering. Training for instructors and comprehensive support by the EPLAN team of experts make it easy to integrate the EPLAN Education Campus package into teaching plans.
It also includes the full use of the EPLAN Data Portal, which currently has over 630,000 data sets from prestigious component manufacturers plus 1.2 million variants generated via configurators accessible through the portal.
Globally, more than 1,000 institutions are utilizing EPLAN Education, including 310 colleges, enabling students to learn to use EPLAN´s engineering solutions. EPLAN Education includes a range of functions in a wide variety of disciplines and integrated data. Instructors can refer to structured lesson plans, relevant practical assignments, handouts for students and sample exam questions, including answers. Students and trainees using the EPLAN program receive a free download license for the duration of their training. The license’s duration has just been increased to three years and can also be used at home for assignments, tutorials and term papers.
