Taipei, Taiwan, January 11 2007 – Ethernet Direct released Husky Series Industrial Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch with SFP ports. The SFP fiber slot design provides users the flexibility to insert different fiber modules, either multi-mode or single-mode with various distances. The SFP single mode transceiver comes in typical 10km and overhaul 40 km and 80 km distances. This gives a large degree of flexibility and scalability depending on the user’s requirements, and also leads to significant cost savings. Ethernet Direct Husky Gigabit switches can automatically detect the Gigabit cable connections priority for each Gigabit port.
