May 5, 2015 - EVT adds an FPGA to EyeCheck 7xxx smart cameras, allowing image capture and image evaluation to be realized in real time.

The EyeCheck smart cameras have not only a Dual Core processor and an FPGA of 85K but also a 4.2 MegaPixel CMOS sensor. In combination with the EyeVision 3.0 software it is possible to capture extremely small objects in highspeed. Thanks to the FPGA the image capture and image evaluation can be realized in real time.

Additionally the FPGA can be programmed with graphical tools. The easy-to-handle drag-and-drop programming makes it easy to create inspection programs, even without programming skills.

The EyeCheck 7xxx series runs with Linux OS and has GigE, RS232 and RS485 interfaces as well as digital I/Os.

The smart cameras are especially useful for applications with little space available and can be integrated easily into existing plants. The camera are suitable for WEB inspection or also pattern matching, fast measurement technology and object counting.
