March 15, 2013 - Exele Information Systems announced enhancements to their TopView software suite with the release of TopView 6.15 with Notification Alarm Acknowledge Links. Within TopView’s alarm notification messages (email, SMS, …), users can now include a web page link which will allow the notification recipient to acknowledge the alarm directly from their smartphone or desktop. TopView includes an embedded web server which is used by the TopView Mobile Web App. Within the Mobile Web App, each monitored point contains a details page which includes an acknowledge button if the item is currently unacknowledged.
The Mobile Web App supports security, so users can be required to enter a username/password before they can see and acknowledge the alarm.
“A new TopView message placeholder provides a direct link to an alarm item's details page within the embedded web server.” said Mike Fishman, Exele VP. “This placeholder is supported in alarm messages and notification messages, giving users a direct link from the received notification message to a web page where they can examine alarm details and optionally acknowledge the alarm.”
