January 31, 2011 - FCI announces a microsite for its High Speed I/O Connections offering, including a core product selector to help simplify specification from the company's complete range of high-speed I/O connectors and cable assembly solutions. Featured products include active optical cables, copper cable assemblies, transceivers, connectors and cages to enable InfiniBand, Ethernet, Fibre Channel or SAS interconnect technologies. "FCI's acquisition of MergeOptics active optical cable and transceiver products allowed us to expand the product range and the design tools we offer designers through our website," said Jim David, global product marketing director, high-speed I/O products.
"We've combined the product selection tools with ease-of-access to technical information to further increase the value of FCI's customer service." The microsite's core product selector tool simplifies choices of optimal product solutions and provides capability to access and download technical papers, test reports, 3D models, product datasheets and brochures. FCI has developed additional microsites to provide more personalized customer service to customers and design engineers.
