Proposal submissions for first annual event now due by May 31, 2006
BAYTOWN, Texas, April 12, 2006 - The Fieldbus Center at Lee College, a National Science Foundation (NSF) recognized and funded institution, has extended the deadline for submitting presentation proposals for the Instrumentation Education, Training and Development Conference (IETDC), to be held August 17-18, 2006, in League City, Texas.
Proposal submissions for the event, which will address key issues in technology training and development for the instrumentation industry, are now due by May 31.The first annual meeting of its kind, the IETDC will discuss the impact of training across the entire plant automation field‹from new digital technologies such as fieldbus, to conventional instrumentation and process control systems.The IETDC program will examine the critical role of education and technology instruction in meeting the needs of plants, factories, research facilities and related industries. Anyone involved with training the instrumentation workforce, from helpers to engineers, is encouraged to attend and participate.
The Fieldbus Center is seeking input from the instrumentation industry on conference discussion topics, white papers, presenters, and sponsors.
