FieldServer Technologies has introduced SlotServer, a LonWorks to ControlLogix Interface Module enabling the user to interface third party devices utilizing LonWorks to the ControlLogix 1756 platform. LonWorks, a widely used protocol in the building automation and process control industries is the protocol of choice for many security controls, energy monitors, HVAC controls, I/O controls, lighting controls, motor controls, and sensors. ControlLogix, an Allen Bradley PLC, is a modular, high-performance control platform used for sequential, process, drive and motion control applications. FieldServer Technologies has now brought together the popular LonWorks network with the powerful ControlLogix PLC in a user-friendly package – SlotServer!
SlotServer provides key features demanded by integrators desiring an interface between their PLC and LonWorks:

- LonWorks TP/FT-10 interface for direct connection to the LonWorks network

On the ControlLogix side, SlotServer users can control communications in ControlLogix software using standard generic message blocks.
