Flowserve Attains NSF 61-G Certification for Potable Water Pumps

This certification, including Annex G for low-lead content water products, puts these pumps in full compliance with the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act.

September 26, 2014 - Flowserve attained NSF 61-G certification for certain pumps comprising its line of commercial potable water pumps and the facilities that manufacture them. This certification, including Annex G for low-lead content water products, immediately puts these Flowserve pumps in full compliance with the U.S. Safe Drinking Water Act. "Flowserve is excited to receive this important distinction since it allows us to meet our customers' needs for pumps complying with this certification," said Bob Hendricks, president, Industrial Pump Operations.

"The need for safe, healthy and clean drinking water is of fundamental importance, and we are extremely proud to be able to help our customers meet this need." NSF 61-G certification applies to the Flowserve manufacturing facilities in Taneytown, MD.; Chesapeake, VA.; and Hastings, NE. Certified pump products include:

  • VTP vertical turbine
  • VPC vertical turbine, double case
  • SUBM deep well, oil-filled submersible motor and cable
  • SUBM deep well, submersible pump
  • LR axially split, single-stage
  • LNN axially split, single-stage
  • Mark 3(TM) ASME (ANSI) standard
