March 2, 2011 — Fujitsu Components America, Inc. has released a series of Gen 2 PCI Express card-edge connectors for high-reliability applications in harsh environmental conditions. The FCN-07J series consists of 8x (98-position) and 12x (140-position) vertical mount, press-fit connectors. Fujitsu’s patented, split-beam contact design ensures redundant, two-points of contact on the PCB pad, providing a reliable and robust connection against vibration, shock and temperature changes. Applications include high-end servers, super computers, and industrial equipment.

The lead-free, RoHS compliant FCN-07J connector series features a 1.1A DC contact rating, a 500VAC dielectric withstanding voltage, and a 50VAC voltage rating. It has an operating temperature range of -55 to +85 degrees C.
