April 4, 2013 - Gray Matter Systems announced PVK II Intel Atom Dual-Core Operator Interface, powered by GE Intelligent Platforms iFIX Embedded 5.5. A true 64-bit package, the PVK II combines an Intel Atom operator interface, featuring a high-quality TFT LCD display and Intel Atom D525 processor. The PVK II is specifically designed for any industrial application including manufacturing, water and wastewater, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, oil and gas, airports, and many other industries. The PVK II is available in three sizes – 12”, 15” and 17” – and is available in a Class 1 Div 2 model as well.
The Intel Atom at the core of the PVK II has low power consumption and 1.8 GHz operating frequency.
This system is fanless although the kernel is powerful. iFIX Embedded delivers the power, scalability and flexibility of iFIX on the Windows Embedded operating system. iFIX Embedded runs the iFIX 5.5 code base and delivers enhanced visualizations, trending and alarming, SPC and e-signature support, dynamic language support, full scripting support, and industrial gateway server (IGS) OPC Server (Single Protocol). In addition, spindle-free storage makes the PVK II durable and reliable platforms.
For applications where spindle-free storage is not critical, a fast-access HDD module can be used. The I/O portfolio meets diverse requirements.
