January 11, 2013 - HABEY USA introduces TPC-6508-R8, an 8.4" Rugged Tablet which runs on Windows 7 Embedded. The TPC-6508-R8, or R8 for short, has a front and rear facing camera, a barcode scanner and RFID reader.
With WiFi, 3G and 4G connectivity via a SIM slot, it allows the R8 to roam unrestricted. The tablet also includes GPS, Bluetooth and optional OBD II/CAN module options via a vehicle cradle. For users who are always on the go that need an extra boost in battery life, the R8 has an optional external battery pack that can be swapped while the unit is running.
