This new communication will provide even greater integration capabilities in industrial monitoring applications. The communications list for Vibration Monitoring now includes analog, Modbus TCP, Profibus, ControlNet, Ethernet TCP/IP, DeviceNet, and OPC.Using this networking capability, a company can monitor the health of their rotating and reciprocating equipment using Hardy sensors, and can seamlessly bring this data into the PLC or DCS. The HI 3600 Machine Monitor, ruggedly designed to comply with all API 670 safe monitoring requirements, can monitor up to 16 channels of vibration, impact, and rod drop (for reciprocating compressor applications).
Users can also access the monitoring data, or diagnose machine issues through local or remote access using the embedded web server of the Machine Monitor. Using the parameter mapping capability of the monitor, a user can map data or an alarm to any point on a network, a local relay, or even to an email initiation for remote notification on a cell phone or pager.
