SCHAUMBURG, IL - (August 2005) – HEIDENHAIN Corporation’s new literature titled “Incremental Modular Encoder – ERM 280” is now available free upon request. This latest information details the new diameters that are available on this encoder, as well as increased speed availability on the largest size.HEIDENHAIN’s ERM 280 encoder is designed without an integral bearing and consists simply of a scanning head and scale drum. Because it utilizes the contamination resistant magnetic scanning principle, it is ideally suited for incorporation into many machine design elements, such as headstocks on lathes.

The ERM 280 has a large hollow shaft diameter and operates within high shaft speeds requirements of up to 40,000 rpm.For your free copy, contact HEIDENHAIN at (847) 490-1191, or write to HEIDENHAIN CORPORATION, 333 E. State Parkway, Schaumburg, IL 60173.
