Founded in 1997, AIRAID was seeing fast growth in just a few short years because of its premium, high-performance products. To improve its inventory accuracy and order efficiencies, the company needed a system that could give it greater visibility and help speed up the order fulfillment process.
AIRAID selected HighJump TrueCommerce EDI and HighJump AccellosOne WMS for Microsoft Dynamics GP. With TrueCommerce EDI, AIRAID has a data transaction system that streamlines important logistics processes by enabling the seamless transmission and sharing of electronic documents with suppliers and buyers.
AIRAID noted that having an EDI system gives them more credibility as a manufacturer in the aftermarket industry. In the past, the company used third-party pay-by-the-transaction processors, but they didn’t integrate with Microsoft Dynamics GP. As a result, AIRAID would spend hours each day keying orders by hand – and risk keying in an error. Since implementing EDI, the integration has been smooth and efficient: When an order comes directly from the supplier, an AIRAID employee simply hits a few buttons to import the order directly into GP.
The real-time inventory capabilities of HighJump AccellosOne WMS allow AIRAID to know exactly how much inventory they have on hand at any given time. Items are serialized and the warehouse scanning device will reject an item if the operator pulls the wrong number.
As a result, AIRAID has achieved 100 percent shipping accuracy and can process more orders simultaneously without risking an error.
This increase in accuracy has support AIRAID’s fast growth and shift from mostly freight orders to ground orders. “We went from shipping 30-50 orders a day to typically hundreds of orders now,” said Jessica Comus, controller at AIRAID. “We really needed a system that could streamline and automate that order fulfillment process and eliminate the possibility of errors.”
The fact that both HighJump AccellosOne and HighJump TrueCommerce solutions were built for Microsoft Dynamics GP was important to AIRAID. “With both solutions being built for GP, it was a seamless integration,” said Comus. “The decision to implement the solutions has allowed us to focus on customer service, it’s given us real-time inventory, and as a result we can conduct better business.”
