PocketPC and .NET Technologies Make Warehouse Information Accessible On-the-Go
PHOENIX, March 17, 2004 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Process Solutions announced today that the POMSTrakker(tm) powered by EIS wireless solution is now available as part of the Honeywell POMS® suite of manufacturing execution solutions. The eisTrakker is a PocketPC-based wireless application that is small and easy to carry. With it, anyone responsible for managing material inventories can access and gather real-time information on-the-go, particularly in warehouses and other areas where stationary workstations are not practical. "The manufacturing execution system market has long needed a wireless solution that takes advantage of the latest technologies in PocketPC and .NET programming," said Rick Sterrett, Chief Operating Officer for Honeywell POMS.
"The POMSTrakker does just that. Together, the POMS MES platform and the POMSTrakker provide wireless capabilities that comply with 21CFR Part 11 guidelines."
The POMSTrakker integrates with the 5.0, 5.0.1 and 5.1 versions Honeywell POMS MES; it also can be customized to work with previous POMS versions.
