Spanish Refinery to Increase Control and Monitoring Capabilities
PHOENIX, Oct. 23, 2003 - Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Process Solutions today announced a contract with Repsol YPF to upgrade its refinery at A Coruña, Spain. The contract includes Honeywell's TotalPlant® Solution (TPS) system with Icon operator consoles, High-Performance Process Managers, a Fail-Safe Control (FSC®) system, as well as engineering, on-site services and project management. The Honeywell automation solution will enable the Repsol YPF refinery to more accurately monitor and control performance to meet European Union clean fuels standards that will be introduced in 2005. System delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2004.

Honeywell Spain's Project Engineering group will perform the engineering and implementation services for the project. Honeywell Process Solutions has worked with Repsol YPF since 1978 to automate its five refineries in Spain, all of which are connected and controlled by Honeywell TPS systems.
