Indianapolis, IN (October 10, 2007) - Horner Advanced Products Group introduced the XLt Operator Control Station. The XLt is the world's smallest all-in-one controller with a built-in touch screen, I/O and networking plus removable mass storage. The XLt has been engineered to be utilized either indoors or out. The touch screen can be easily viewed in direct sunlight for use in outdoor mobile control applications such as in the agriculture, oil or gas industries among others. The XLt’s transflective screen technology results in a high contrast, easy-to-see touch screen.

Transflective technology allows for superior screen viewing outdoors in bright lighting. In low lighting conditions, the XLt utilizes an LED backlight to illuminate the display. The XLt’s front fascia is attractively designed with a system key and four function keys. Original equipment manufacturers can create custom overlays or specify a custom keypad altogether. The XLt is available in four models with various I/O configurations and one model without I/O.

The XLt works with Horner’s XL Series family of field installable add-on modules such as: Ethernet, telephone modem, radio modem or GPS receiver for measuring accurate time, position and velocity data. The XLt uses Horner APG’s Cscape software.
