April 19, 2011 – ICP DAS Introduces tM Modbus RTU DAQ Module. The tM series is a family of tiny network data acquisition and control modules that provide digital input output functions like photo-isolated digital input, photoMOS relay output, relay contact and open-collector output. They can be remotely controlled through an RS-485 serial bus with DCON and Modbus RTU protocols. DCON protocol is a simple ASCII format protocol. The transmission speed of the tM series is selectable up to 115,200 bps.

Dual watchdogs are provided so the module will automatically reset the microprocessor when the module hangs. The module features a predefined safe value state which it will go to if for some reason the module fails. The tM modules are very compact and can be din rail mounted. They can be easily installed anywhere and can be directly embedded into machines.
