June 24, 2010 - IEI Technology introduces the TANK-GM45A fanless embedded system for wide temperature environments. The TANK-GM45A is powered by the Intel Core2 Duo processor and Intel GM45 chipset, and includes 2 GB of DDR2 memory. The TANK-GM45A supports high-performance MPEG-2 Decoding, WMV9 (VC-1) and H.264 (AVC) formats for reduced file size or improved quality for same file size.
With video processing capabilities, the TANK-GM45A is particularly ideal for applications in surveillance and security systems.The TANK-GM45A supports extended temperatures from -20ºC up to 70ºC with one industrial 2.5” SATA flash disk. The IEI IFD 2.5” SSD supporting SATA SLC solutions features anti-vibration, low power consumption, high performance and exceptional reliability.
SSD not only performs more IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) than HDD, but also can be operated in harsh conditions with high reliability due to the lack of moving components.When deployed into a Digital Security Surveillance (DSS) system, the TANK-GM45 provides high video resolution, high performance and low power consumption. The Intel Core 2 Duo processor enables the TANK-GM45A to not only operate dual-core computing at a very low power, but also accelerates video-capture processing. Furthermore, the fanless design of TANK-GM45A significantly reduces noise.
Dual on-board Gigabit Ethernet connectors provide fast connectivity to data networks and also high-speed IP camera connectivity.The TANK-GM45A includes the latest recovery software from IEI called One Key Recovery. The software eliminates the frustration of system recovery after an unexpected system failure. One Key Recovery easily creates a full system backup on demand and enables system recovery by restoring to a previously made backup with a single click.
