IMI has expanded its SolidRed asset monitoring platform with a new cloud-based offering.

Sept. 8, 2026 — IMI has expanded its SolidRed asset monitoring platform with a new cloud-based offering. SolidRed Cloud makes advanced asset condition insights more accessible for industrial sites where on-premises deployment may not be practical.

SolidRed Cloud reduces the infrastructure, installation and integration requirements associated with traditional deployment, making it easier for operators to gain visibility of asset condition and use that information to support predictive maintenance.

It provides a single, consolidated environment for managing and visualising data from IMI TWTG NEON IIoT sensors, helping users monitor asset condition, investigate potential faults and make better-informed maintenance decisions.

For sites with limited space, on-site technical resources or the infrastructure needed to support an on-premises platform, deploying advanced asset monitoring has not always been practical. SolidRed Cloud removes some of these barriers, making it possible for more industrial operators to gain greater insight into asset condition, identify potential issues earlier and plan maintenance before problems lead to unplanned downtime.

Thijs Buuron, growth hub director, Digital for Process Automation at IMI, said: "A condition monitoring program has traditionally required significant IT infrastructure, including on-site servers, network configuration and ongoing maintenance. For many industrial sites, this complexity and cost can prevent valuable monitoring opportunities from progressing beyond the planning stage.

“With SolidRed Cloud, deployment is significantly simpler: sensors can be installed quickly, enabling teams to begin assessing asset condition within the same week.

“For sites where cloud-based solutions are not suitable, on-premises SolidRed remains available. SolidRed Cloud is designed to complement this offering, providing a more accessible route to condition monitoring for sites that can take advantage of cloud connectivity."

SolidRed supports IMI TWTG NEON sensors, including temperature, pressure and vibration monitoring devices. While users can monitor asset performance across a site, the platform's vibration monitoring capabilities provide more detailed insight into individual assets.

Trend data can indicate that an asset's condition is changing, while spectrum analysis provides additional information that can help vibration specialists determine the nature of a developing fault. SolidRed combines this analysis with alerts, historical trends and an event centre, giving users a centralised view of issues across connected assets. Data from NEON sensors is transmitted through LoRaWAN infrastructure before being passed into SolidRed, allowing users to monitor assets remotely and investigate their condition through the platform.

Approximately 15,000 SolidRed devices are currently in use at customer sites. As IMI expands its IIoT portfolio, the cloud-based platform is helping to make advanced asset monitoring accessible to a broader range of industrial operators.
