May 2, 2012 - IMPERX introduces the 29 megapixel ICL-B6640 Bobcat camera, built to meet the most demanding imaging requirements and designed with an extended operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C and an MTBF of >660,000 hours @ 40°C. The 29 megapixel B6640 camera has an image resolution of 6600 x 4400 and 5 fps at full resolution and is available in Monochrome, Color, or TRUESENSE Color, with 8, 10, and 12 bit output. The fully programmable B6640 delivers impressive speed and brilliant imagery while consuming relatively little power (7.8 watts).
The camera's small size (60 x 60 x 53 mm), light weight, wide operating temperature range, and rugged housing make it robust enough to handle the harsh environments of military and industrial applications as well as a perfect fit for the most demanding medical and scientific applications. Standard features include Base or Medium CameraLink, binning of up to eight pixels horizontally and vertically for variable image resolution, Truesense Imaging KAI-29050 sensor, eight independent AOI's, five triggering modes, and more.
