One Package for HMI/SCADA, Motion, and PLC Control
Austin, Texas – InduSoft LLC has developed a driver that allows customers to directly interface InduSoft Web Studio™ (IWS) SCADA/HMI software to Beckhoff’s proven TwinCAT™ automation software. The marriage of InduSoft and TwinCAT means customers can use one controller for HMI/SCADA, Motion and PLC Control. This provides customers with a quantum leap in technological performance and cost savings.
For example: “A North American machinery builder can now obtain a complete three axis servo machine control system consisting of: InduSoft HMI runtime software, Beckhoff’s CX1000 automation controller, 6.5” TFT monitor, TwinCAT IEC61131-3 PLC and Motion Software, 100 I/O, SERCOS amplifiers and motors for under $13,000” says Jeff Brown, Beckhoff Automation LLC Product Manager.The native communication driver developed by InduSoft not only increases performance, but allows customers to define the tags only once in Beckhoff’s TwinCAT software. InduSoft Web Studio will read these tags and store them in the IWS shared database.
