Enhancements include a buffered real time clock, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), and encrypted VPN connections.

October 26, 2010 - Innominate Security Technologies upgraded its mGuard Field Line and mGuard Factory Line products. Robust metal housings enhance these DIN rail-mount devices along with several internal innovations. SD memory cards can be easily used for pluggable configuration storage. A buffered real time clock and a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) have been integrated, enabling encrypted VPN connections of the highest security. The devices are based on the mGuard Core2 platform which has been designed for a broad portfolio of variants including the integration of emerging network technologies and transmission media, while maintaining uniform device management.

This initial launch of pure Ethernet devices will be compatible with secure cellular radio routers based on mGuard technology in future offerings. The mGuard Field Line devices are positioned routers for the secure remote servicing of machinery and equipment in the field over the Internet with simplified and less complex configuration. In contrast, the mGuard Factory Line can support scenarios with three router interfaces for the embedding of systems into complex industrial networks with separate connectivity to a remote services infrastructure, offering comprehensive, sophisticated functionality for advanced IT security and anti-malware protection in automation networks.
